rhythms...now what? How do I make it my own? How do I make it MY song?"
I can't tell you how often I hear this from students! Weekly...even daily!
I'm so excited to announce a special, one-night-only event to address this exact question! And it's coming up very soon - March 6!
It's time to make it YOUR song with YOUR voice.
We are so lucky to have Esteli Gomez at Resound NW to teach this class. Esteli is an extraordinary singer and instructor, and she is making a rare stop in Portland during her adventures performing around the globe.

Exercises in Owning and Realizing an Expressive Performance

$35 per student
Adults and students ages 13 and older
Taught by international performer Estelí Gomez,
“Your Voice, Your Song” is an engaging workshop to take music off the
page and on your feet in performance. Using song examples from jazz,
contemporary pop, and opera styles, students will learn to bring
individual creativity to standard tunes and cover songs. The workshop
will incorporate group singing and opportunities for individual
coaching.
No preparation for this workshop is necessary. Song
examples will be taught and explored in class together. Just come
prepared to sing and learn!
Advanced registration is strongly suggested. Class size is limited. [read more]
