WHAT IS SONG STUDIO? Song Studio is an opportunity for our community to come together through singing and provide a supportive environment to practice performing.  After a period of group singing and warm-up, this class focuses on individual performances from students.

Rooted, Rested, Revivified: Audition with Vision


Acting coach Caitlin Lushington (she/her, they/them) is offering this three-part workshop series on auditioning in partnership with The Actors Conservatory. Each workshop focuses on a different aspect of empowering your audition process and provides opportunities to work your audition pieces and receive constructive feedback.


January 25: Audition Vision

February 8: Audition Game-ification

February 15: Audition Resilience

February 16th, March 16th, April 13th


From Resound NW Staff Instructor Courtney Freed:

Courtney Freed (and friends) are offering a fun, welcoming, musical opportunity for jazz-curious singers to workshop their standard song options with live, professional jazz musicians.


Attendees will address technique, interpretation, choosing rep, how to sing in collaboration and more! This workshop will be monthly (on a Sunday) in the NW Portland suburbs from 2:30-4:30pm.


Upcoming Dates include: 2/16, 3/16 and 4/13. Please reach out if you are interested in attending a session! The workshop is $50 and there is a package available for 6 sessions. All levels welcome!

Courtney Freed, Jeremy Anderson-Sloan, Nik Whitcomb, and Blythe Woodland will sing their hearts out on Monday, February 3 to their one true love… Broadway! With songs like “Impossible Dream” (Man of la Mancha), “When Words Fail” (Shrek the Musical), and “I Cain’t Say No” (Oklahoma!), you are sure to find a song that speaks to your heart. Musical direction by the talented Reece Sauvé. Wine and nibbles available for purchase.

Hello Everyone!!! You are all invited to an exclusive screening of “A Wedding to Diego” the Short Film in Portland, Oregon on SATURDAY FEBRUARY 8TH at 5th Avenue Cinema.


Doors open at 6pm, the show starts at 6:30pm. We will be celebrating the release of our LGBTQIA2+ film and get to experience a never before seen Q&A with the collaborators of the project!!!

The lives of Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand became inexorably entwined when Ms. Streisand and Ms. Garland sang two American standards in counterpoint — “Happy Days Are Here Again” and “Get Happy”— they were a matched set.

Back by popular demand! The Music of Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand celebrates the music of these two astronomical stars, each interpreters of song with glorious voices that nonetheless hinted at the complicated personal stories beneath.

Merideth Kaye Clark will be performing with her band, Siren Songs, Saturday, March 29th at Alberta Abbey. The acoustic duo will be sharing the bill with the energetic harmony-driven trio, Portland-based The Junebugs.

Portland Gay Men’s Chorus: Our New World Performance


It’s a landmark season for the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus (PGMC), and we’re celebrating the best way we know how: Together! It’s a never-before-seen joint effort between the Portland Gay Men’s Chorus, the Portland Lesbian Choir, the Rose City Pride Band and a special feature with Bridging Voices. Over 350 singers and instrumentalists hit the Arlene Schnitzer stage to present an epic program celebrating the power of music and community and dreaming of the world we hope to create together. It’s a 45th birthday bash of legendary proportions, and everyone's invited to attend!
