| Dear Friend,
I'm doing 3 different performances this week and I
wanted to tell you about them. Each performance is very close
to my heart, and I would be delighted if you would be able to attend!
Cheers! Daniel Buchanan

Resound NW
1836 NW Overton St. Portland, OR 97209 |
| | I'm
excited to collaborate with my wife Abby for a second installment of
"Summer Centering: Sound Therapy with Daniel and Abby Buchanan."
We'll
be performing relaxing, peaceful music in the intimate Resound NW
studio. It's a living room concert of music from artists like Death Cab
for Cutie, Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Swell Season, and Hildegard von
Bingen. I'll also be singing a song I wrote. Abby will be playing
guitar and singing, as well as doing a performance on her Tibetan
Singing Bowls. We are SO excited to do this performance, and we'd love
to have you there.

West End Building

|
| | I'm collaborating with the Portland Opera once again this season, presenting "Opera 101."
This
performance will be part of the "Rox in Sox" Festival this Saturday in
Lake Oswego. Performing with singer Alexis Hamilton and pianist Rodney
Menn, we will present an introduction to opera for kids of all ages.
The performance will include audience participation (time to sing some
opera!) and performances of beautiful opera arias and ensembles.
There is a whole day of performances lined up, and we will go onstage exactly at 12:25pm. This
performance is free, but they are also collecting shoes and socks for
children in need, so you are encouraged to bring a donation.

| | Saturday, August 3, 6:00pm and 8:00pm
Action Adventure Theater 1050 SE Clinton Street Portland, OR 97202 |
| | I'll be performing as an actor with "Playback Theater" in two public shows back to back.
I've been working with Playback Theater for over 2 years now, and these performances are really powerful and special. It's an improv group of actors, dancers, and musicians.
Audience members are invited to tell true stories from their life, and
the ensemble immediately plays the story back - on the spot! Stories
usually fall in many different categories - heartfelt, funny, tragic,
emotional. It's a creative and fun evening, and totally unpredictable.
We will be performing two shows this Saturday: 6:00pm - Family show for all ages 8:00pm - Regular show for ages 16 and older
