| | Find Your Voice with SoulSinging
I've always loved to sing with other people. There's something magical about the sound of your own voice, mixing with another person's voice, and a new sound is created.
As a singer and voice teacher, I love to work with students every week one-on-one. We learn many beautiful and special things together.
But recently, I have come to deeply value the power of learning together. When we come together in small supportive groups, we take in the beauty and unique sound of each person's voice. Singing creates community, and singing together is like nothing else in the world.
This is why I created the SoulSinging class. Now in its second year, SoulSinging is a journey that provides students a group exploration into holistic vocal training.
Not only do you receive vocal coaching, but each class functions as an inspiring vocal ensemble. You will learn the art of solo singing and group singing. It is a unique chance to hone your skills as an individual and as a member of a supportive and fun singing group.
A typical class includes an all-group warm-up, class work on singing skills, coaching for individual members of the group, and rehearsal on music sung by the whole ensemble.
The music we will sing runs the gamut of genres and styles that will inspire you: folk music from around the world, pop and rock songs, classical music, musical theater songs, and music more.
The SoulSinging session culminates with a public performance to share what we have learned.
These classes begin October 1, and spaces are already filling up. Be sure to contact Resound NW soon to learn more about this exciting class. More information below.
