Make Music Day PDX
BONUS! We are excited that this event is part of Make Music Day PDX, a collection of concerts happening city-wide in a variety of venues. In addition to our concert from 5:00-8:00pm, Resound NW will be filled with free live performances all day! Come hear a variety of fun and inspiring music at Resound from 11:00am-4:30pm.
About Make Music Day PDX Make Music Day PDX is an event for people who love music and the joyous sense of community it fosters. Make Music Day PDX grew out of the Fête de la Musique, which originated in France in 1982 and is gaining traction in a number of American cities.
A celebration of all music played by and enjoyed by people of all stripes, Make Music Day PDX is a call to participation: Music for the People, By the People. It is an invitation to all musicians, amateur as well as professional, to share music on or near June 21st every year. We invite everyone to show up and enjoy the music!

| News from Our Staff
*Joannah Ball recently performed Handel's Messiah with the Festival Chorale Oregon. She also just completed her first year as a voice faculty member at Willamette University.
*Nicholas Meyer will be performing the title of Figaro in "The Marriage of Figaro" at the Aquilon Music Festival July 1 - 22. He also serves as co-artistic director for Opera Theater Oregon, who recently held auditions for "The Little Prince", which will be performed this November at the Winningstad Theater.
*Claire Hudkins is serving as the Administrative Director of the Vocal Apprentice Artist at the Astoria Music Festival this month, which will include performances of Tosca and The Marriage of Figaro.
*Daniel Buchanan will be performing "Seven Deadly Sins" by Kurt Weill with the Oregon Music Festival July 14. |

*Congrats to Kaitlyn Coder on her graduation from Lake Oswego High School! She will be studying music at the University of Oregon this fall.
*Jan Mason recently wrote an article about her experiences singing at Resound NW on LinkedIn called "Being Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable." |

Upcoming Song Studio Classes
"Song Studio" is a performance class where Resound NW students perform a song they have prepared and receive valuable coaching on their performance. The class includes a mini-lesson for each student plus a professional pianist to accompany them.
This class is fun, low-key, and an exciting way to learn about the craft of singing!
