Student Spotlight: Mohan Zhang

“My musical background is actually quite pointed with respect to how I ended up at Resound NW.”
Mohan Zhang studied piano as a child but didn’t really listen to music until he discovered emo music, (short for emotional hardcore music) as a teenager in high school. His parents gifted him a beat up Yamaha guitar and he started a band, participating in a “Battle of the Bands” competition as the frontman.
It was a disaster. He decided that he wasn’t cut out for music, that he never wanted to do it again.

| Save the Date: The Resound NW Holiday Sing-Along Spectacular! Tuesday, Dec, 22, 6:30-9:30pm
Celebrate the holidays with singing! Now in it's third year, the Resound NW Holiday Sing-Along Spectacular is fun evening of group singing and performances from Resound NW teachers, students, and special guests.
Lyrics for holiday songs will be provided. Food and drinks will available for purchase from the wonderful folks at White Space/Cerulean Winery. And there are DOOR PRIZES, including:
- TWO tickets to an upcoming performance by Cappella Romana ($88 value)

Upcoming Song Studio Classes
"Song Studio" is a performance class where Resound NW students perform a song they have prepared and receive valuable coaching on their performance. The class includes a mini-lesson for each student plus a professional pianist to accompany him or her.
This class is fun, low-key, and an exciting way to learn about the craft of singing!
