New Year, New Address
This month, the Research Alliance for New York City Schools moved to new space on the New York University campus. We are now located at 627 Broadway, on the 7th Floor. The new location offers more space and advanced technological capacities, which will support our work on range of projects about NYC schools, students, and communities.

#DegreesNYC Data Co-Op Applications Are Open!
#DegreesNYC is looking for Data Co-Op participants. This innovative project is developing new indicators that NYC students are on track for success in postsecondary education and careers, in part by linking data from participating community-based organizations with the extensive information available in the Research Alliance archive. For more information and to apply, check out the online form. (The application deadline is Feb. 7.) |

| | The first Spotlight post in our series, Understanding and Addressing Segregation in NYC Schools, is aimed at informing conversations about segregation in NYC schools by examining the implications of different definitions of “racial representation” that have been proposed by district leaders and stakeholders. Our second post uses these different definitions to map the location of racially representative elementary and middle schools in NYC, underscoring how the prevalence and location of representative schools shifts depending on the definition used. |
