| The Research Alliance authored a post in Education Week's "Urban Education Reform: Bridging Research and Practice", a blog that highlights research-practice partnerships across the nation. Our post, "How New York City Is Working to Improve Students' Social-Emotional Learning", illuminates our collaboration with the Student Success Network (SSN) to develop a robust strategy for measuring and promoting students' social emotional learning. SSN is a network of about 50 youth development and education organizations in NYC, serving more than 150,000 middle and high school students. SSN wrote an accompanying post, "A New Approach to Social-Emotional Learning Research: Putting Practitioners and Youths in the Driver's Seat", which reflected on how working with researchers improved SSN's survey measures and organizational capacity to collect quality data.
