If you haven’t already done so, please RSVP today. Over the last two decades, New York City schools have experienced remarkable, sustained improvement, including dramatic decreases in dropout rates and increases in high school graduation and college enrollment. Yet deep inequality continues to plague the City’s education system. What will be required in the next decade—in terms of policy, practice and research—to ensure more equitable learning opportunities and outcomes for NYC students?
As we mark the 10th anniversary of the Research Alliance for New York City Schools, we are convening thought leaders to explore factors that have led to system-wide improvements, as well as barriers that have made it difficult to move the needle on longstanding inequalities. We hope you can join us for an engaging conversation that will illuminate a variety of perspectives and highlight new directions for future work.
