Subject: Do you trade E-Minis?
Hi Folks.
If you trade the E-Mini (S&P E-Mini, specifically) you need to spend a few minutes watching this video.
If you don't trade the E-Mini, you need to spend a few minutes watching this video, simply because you might find it is the trading vehicle you've been looking for.
But let me give you a little backstory first.
I kept the trade room running into the first few days of August this year. Normally I would close up shop by mid-July, but Stephen, a trade room fixture, had been telling us all about the E-Mini for several weeks in early summer, so I finally broke down and pulled up a chart for the E-Mini just to see with my own eyes what he was talking about.
If you've never traded the E-mini, it works just like Forex. You can buy or sell first, meaning you can short it if you think the price is going down. The price is measured in ticks instead of pips, and 4 ticks equals 1 point. If you trade a single contract (what we call a full lot in Forex) a tick is worth $12.50 and 4 ticks (or 1 point) is worth $50. 2 points I worth $100. If you trade two contracts, those amounts double.
So I started running Renkos on a chart and started knocking out 2 points a day on a consistent basis. During summer, which is usually the slowest trading period.
Understand that what I am running for a setup is not a normal futures trading chart. It's something different, but closely related. I'll explain that to everyone in the trade room.
But the point I want to make to anyone who is looking to make $100 or $200 a day from their trading in a fairly low-stress trading environment, you should take a very close look at the S&P E-Mini. And if you are already trading the E-Mini and are looking for a way to catch 1-2 point moves on a regular basis, you should take a close look as well.
I have a video posted on the Trade Room signup page. It runs about 15 minutes and shows just the activity from Monday 2 weeks ago, when I did a private session for some guys I know who were interested in seeing what kind of trade signals this method generated. The session itself ran from 9:30 to about 11:00 a.m. eastern, but I cut out all the quiet spots so the running time is much shorter.
You can find the video at the bottom of the page at http://renko-gold.com/wp/traderoom The September session opens tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. eastern time (an hour before the actual S&P market opens) and will run until we make 20 pips off Forex and/or 2 points on the E-Mini, which usually means between 10 and 11 a.m. There are still a few spots open, but I expect to reach my limit of 35 traders by this evening, so don't delay if this interests you.
I will be mailing out the trade room access material later this evening if you have already signed up, so look for that email around 9:00 p.m. this evening, eastern time.
I hope to see you in the room.
Jeff
