I'm back- with another newsletter full of science backed knowledge. Let's dive straight into it!


Our first topic is for those of you who have a goal of "building lean muscle."


I've said it many times- & I'll say it many more- you CANNOT build “lean muscle”. To "build lean muscle” doesn’t even make sense to say. You've never seen a leg press say- “Lean Muscle Leg Press”- they all just say “Leg Press”.


That's because when you do Leg Press- you have ONE goal- build muscle & you get lean- through your diet. 


The process of building muscle & losing body fat at the same time is referred to as- Body Recomposition.


Think of body recomp as- eliminating &/or shifting body fat around- to completely change the aesthetic look of your body. 


IE: No more belly fat- bra fat or cellulite. 


Your body will look completely balanced from top to bottom- left to right- front to back. With shape in all the right places & no shape- in the “wrong” places. 


Body recomp takes precise & methodical adjustments to nutrition, training & daily habits. 


These small adjustments are done over time*- which causes the whole process to take more time & time* is not something most* women are not willing to give themselves- though* they have it. 


Leading them to always choose* harsh, quick & easy approaches to physique goals- no matter the health cost.


For women who choose* the slower- more healthy approach to building muscle & losing body fat- the benefits are far more than just surface level aesthetics- & you have zero* drawbacks.

MEAL PLANNING & PREPPING TIPS


Flexible Dieting allows meal planning & meal prepping to be simple- IF you make it simple.


I tell my clients- “You can make meal planning & prepping as hard- or as simple as you want. At the end of the day- IF you want to make progress- both task are required- & neither take a ton of effort. Rather- they take efficient & intentional efforts."


Meaning, if you - 


"Can’t eat left overs"-

"Can’t eat cold food"-

"Only eat fresh veggies"-

"Only eat organic protein"-

"Don’t eat processed foods"-


You’re gonna have a harder time meal planning & prepping- then if you didn’t put those mental restrictions on yourself. 


Yes- those are all, mental. Those are all restrictions you've put on yourself- for whatever reason you tell yourself- & those reason & those restrictions have brought you to the body, mind & health you have today.

So be honest- has that mindset & those restrictions given you the body/health you want? Or are they preventing you from having the body/health you want? This answer- can change your life.

I've made this "Whole Body Health- Progress Check List" to keep you focused on all the areas you are* making progress in- during times when it feels you're not making any progress at all.


This list is just some* of the different ways to access progress- all of which are required- if sustainable, Whole Body Health is your goal.

The most satisfying form of progress will be when you finally feel you’re no longer on a diet- no longer “on a program"-


& HEALTH is just who you are- from the inside out- 365 days a year.

Daily Power List- much different than “daily to do list.”


Two causes of daily anxiety & discouragement-


1️⃣ Not being specific with your “to do” list actions.

2️⃣ Not listing & executing daily actions in order* based on highest priority. 


This is where understanding how to use a Power List comes in handy.


Steps & Rules to Use Your Power List Efficiently.

Easy signs you need a Power List:


✔️You’re always blaming “time” on not starting or completing task-  

✔️You’re not making progress in areas of life you want* to make progress in-

✔️You feel stagnant & lost- with no clear direction on how to reach your goals.


This feeling is the root reason you procrastinate- 

Which the root reason you to always “run out of time”. 

Which is the reason you do not make progress- 

Which is the reason you feel discouraged.


All* which will be* the reason you give up- IF* you continue doing what you’re currently doing.

Every person needs to learn how to efficiently* use a Daily Power List- especially if you have goals. 


As you start building & using your Power List- keep in mind that every small specific action you do daily- should* be important- & should* in some way- move you closer to your goals.


If a small specific action does not move you closer to your goals- then it has no purpose- so why are you doing it?


This is a reflection question to ask yourself every day- especially* if you find yourself feeling discouraged.


Something I remind clients of often if/when they feel discouraged in their weekly check in-


“When your current daily schedule & actions are efficiently aligned with your goals- you’ll never feel discouragement in your weekly check in.


That lack of discouragement doesn’t* come from you being perfect- the previous week.


Rather from- your conscious efforts to make intentional decisions & take intentional actions- that efficiently move you forward in all areas of life. 


When you know* you could not made a better decision- & given the same situation again- you would make that same decision- is a powerful place to be. 

This is “living in alignment”. If you feel discouraged- let’s dig into & address- the root cause.


This will allow us to put together an intentional plan- that guarantees you don’t think/feel or look the same way next week”
