I'm Just Getting Started!

What a Month

Thank you to all those who bought Regally Binding. Seeing the reviews has made my month.

All of you who have signed up for my newsletter will receive an extra epilogue within the next week. This epilogue is extra spicy and extra sweet and includes a big surprise.

Also, if you live in the UK, please email/direct message me your proof of purchase of Regally Binding and your address, and I will send you a bookmark and/or stickers.

Don’t forget to rate and review Regally Binding on Good Reads and Amazon. Regally Binding is the best-rated book I’ve ever released based on Good Reads ratings. This has warmed my heart. Onwards and upwards.

And if you haven’t yet read it, it’s still available here in paperback, ebook or free via Kindle Unlimited.

News

Next month’s newsletter will include an exclusive. You will be the first to see my book cover for my next release, which is a spicy chef cookery school romance called Go Cook Yourself. I’m on the cusp of sending the book to the editor, so here is an unedited quote from Go Cook Yourself to tickle your taste buds.

It will be out in November. I’ll tell you more in the August newsletter.

Don’t forget that The Big Book of Quickies featuring my short story, Force of Nature, was officially released this week; you can see more and buy it here.

Now we’re halfway through the year, here are some books I’ve loved but not mentioned before. What have been some of your favourite books of the year so far?

A little about me

This week, I said goodbye to the day job. I’ve avoided discussing my job before now; however, it has been a central aspect of my writing for some time. My job was initially supporting young people impacted by significant life trauma, and over time became managing people supporting those affected by trauma. The little bits about anxiety and how to manage it, the moments of people living through awful situations, the push to heal and find hope through others and sometimes romance were all inspired by what I learnt in my roles.

So let me leave you with something related to that. One of the things I’ve struggled with due to my neurodivergent condition is mindfulness, as my brain won’t stop. So, instead, what I do is go on mindful walks. Instead of shutting things out, I focus on them. I consider:

  • What five things can I see?

  • What four things can I hear?

  • What three things can I feel?

  • What two things can I smell?

  • What one thing can I taste?

My challenge to you is to take a mindfulness walk and enjoy your senses.

Don’t forget to read next month’s newsletter for an exclusive cover reveal and maybe another tip to help with anxiety.
