~ Starlight's Animal Care Tip for March, 2021.

     "This is what tissue boxes were designed for, right? For cats like me who love to play in them! And I fit perfectly, too!

     "So my tip for March is to always offer empty boxes of all sizes to your cats. They will add excitement to your cat's day, and stimulate playful activity. In the winter this is especially important because winters can be boring! But even in summer, a new box brightens up my day.

     " And don't be concerned about the size of the box. Small boxes are fun to squeeze into, and big ones are fun to roll and dig in." 💜 Starlight

Nedda adds:

I always throw empty cardboard boxes on the floor so Starlight and Melissa can check them out and play in them. Sometimes I turn them into cat caves, warm spots for cats to snuggle into. Other boxes I open at both ends to make tunnels.

Eventually, some boxes have to be discarded. Meanwhile, they provide entertainment for the cats, and for me, too, as I watch and laugh at the antics of my happy playful, feline companions.
