Today, I am officially announcing that I am stepping away from my role at Rainworks, and I will be focusing primarily on my career as a comedian & filmmaker.
9 years ago, my best friend Peregrine called me up, and he asked if I would help film an experiment he was working on: to create invisible street art that would only appear on rainy days. I loved the idea, but I never could have guessed how far it would end up taking us:
•Some of the rainworks I've made have been seen by millions of people around the world, a fact which still astounds me.
•I've gotten to travel for commissions, to incredible places that I never would have visited otherwise.
•And most strikingly, I've seen all of the hundreds (if not thousands) of amazing people around the world who have been inspired to create their own rainworks.
My work with Rainworks has been the biggest accomplishment of my career thus far, and a highlight of my life. I'll cherish the memories forever.
That said, I have always felt as though Rainworks would be a jumping-off point, and the time has come for me to take my next step. The skills that I have developed during my time at Rainworks will continue to play a big role in my future endeavors:
•Ever since that first night when Peregrine asked me to film, I have been the primary photographer and videographer for Rainworks. Moving forward, I will continue to pursue filmmaking and documenting the world around me.
•Additionally, I have been developing my abilities as a stand-up comedian. Rainworks has always been about making people smile, and I hope to continue working towards that goal via humor.

As for Rainworks: Peregrine will continue to handle the day-to-day operations himself. I am confident the project is in good hands, and rainy days will continue to be a source of joy and magic.

Now it's onto the next adventure!
