Subject: Virtues of the Last Ten Days of Ramadan 🌙

We all know the great virtue of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), which most people probably consider to be the twenty-seventh of Ramadan.

Assalamualaykum Friend,

We hope you are doing well in both eeman and health.

We all know the great virtue of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), which most people probably consider to be the twenty-seventh of Ramadan.

We find in authentic hadiths that even if it’s not the twenty-seventh, it definitely falls under the last ten nights of Ramadan (although there is some difference of opinion regarding this).

The rewards of any good deeds in Laylatul Qadr is multiplied an incredible number of times. As Allah (swt) says, it’s better than 1000 months:

“Indeed, We sent the Qur'an down during the Night of Decree. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (97:5)

Top Picks For The Day

This surah was revealed to console the Prophet (sa) in the midst of the huge responsibility he was facing in conveying the message of Allah, and moreover, he was having to face constant opposition from his own family members and tribe.

One of the most emphasized subjects in the Quran is that of thinking and reflection. Allah (swt) tells us, again and again, to reflect on His signs, and to ponder deeply. Those exemplary Muslims who do exactly that and come up with gems of wisdom are few.

The structure of the word is such that it denotes permanence of the quality, as opposed to ‘dhaahib’ which means ‘a going person. A person is not always going to be on the move, but a generous person is generous by character, which is longer-lasting.

Illness – whether physical, psychological or spiritual – can turn our lives upside down. Suddenly, doing even ordinary day-to-day activities becomes burdensome and difficult, denting our self-esteem and happiness.

Blessed to serve you on your Qur'an journey,
