Assalamualaykum Friend,
We hope you are doing well in both eeman and health.
Gratitude, or shukr, is central to Islam and is fundamental to a believerâs relationship with Allah
In the Quran, Allah emphasizes the importance of gratitude, stating in Surah Ibrahim (14:7), âIf you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favour]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.â This verse highlights that expressing gratitude not only pleases Allah but also leads to increased blessings.
Gratitude in Islam is not limited to thanking Allah for His blessings; it also involves acknowledging the good in others and showing appreciation for their kindness.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, âHe who does not thank people, does not thank Allahâ (Tirmidhi). This hadith underscores the importance of recognizing and appreciating the efforts and kindness of those around us. |
