Assalaamualikum Friend,
When we look deeper into the merits of the Quran, we can’t help but hear the mention of ANGELS. They are from the wondrous creation of Allah SWT, made of light, who do nothing except worship Allah SWT.
We hear how our recitation is witnessed by angels in this world. One example of this is in the Quran [17:78],
أَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِدُلُوكِ الشَّمْسِ إِلَىٰ غَسَقِ اللَّيْلِ وَقُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ ۖ إِنَّ قُرْآنَ الْفَجْرِ كَانَ مَشْهُودًا
“Establish prayer at the decline of the sun [from its meridian] until the darkness of the night and [also] the Quran of dawn. Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed [by the angels].”
We also hear how the one who recites the Quran proficiently will be standing with the angels in the next life, as reported in Sahih al Bukhari. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said,
“Verily the one who recites the Quran beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels.”

Indeed, it was the honourable Angel Jibreel (AS) who brought down the Quran and recited it to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), who recited it to his companions. These companions became teachers and taught their students, who in turn taught their students.
The names of these teachers and students have been recorded in a chain (called “Sanad”) which lasts until today. This means there are people in this world who recite very similar to the Prophet (PBUH) and Angel Jibreel (AS). Isn’t that amazing?
