Assalamualaykum Companions,
We hope you all are in the best state of Eeman and health.
We're excited to announce that, with the help of Allah, we are starting the Easy Introduction to Quranic Arabic course this week. This live weekly online class will take place on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 6:30 PM CST (pick either one).
This easy course is the official prerequisite for the challenging Quranic linguistics series which puts us into the Quranic scholar’s mind via the three primary disciplines of the Arabic language: Morphology, grammar, and rhetoric.
Learning Quranic Linguistics is a three-step process. The first step, learning Arabic morphology (الصرف), is like planting seeds into the ground. The second step, learning Arabic grammar (النحو), is like watering a tree until its branches are fully developed. The third step, learning Arabic rhetoric (البلاغة), is the sweet fruit.
Course Overview:
Apply knowledge and skills to over 150 verses of the Quran and many hadith!
Learn hundreds (approx. 500+) of Quranic Arabic words!
Unfold the deeper meanings of Arabic words via roots and patterns of the advanced morphological forms.
Develop conversational Arabic skills
Taste the eloquence of the Quranic Arabic and hadith
Appreciate the multi-dimensional nature of Quranic Arabic
Develop linguistic foundations for the study of Islamic disciplines such as Islamic theology,(العقيدة), Islamic legal theory (أصول الفقه), Islamic law (الفقه) and Arabic literature.
Pre-requisites (Or Equivalent Knowledge):
If you have the basic ability to read/write Arabic (without understanding, without tajwid ok), then you're good to go!
