Subject: Don’t Gain the World And Lose Your Soul 💔

Fajr is our special gift from Allah SWT. When you begin your day by talking to your beloved Rabb, you’ll see the Barakah pouring in your day

Assalamualaykum Companions,

We hope you are doing well in both eeman and health.

Okay, so how does one gain the world and lose the soul? Does this mean that you are so distracted by the Dunya that you forget to nourish your soul? Does it mean you are too concerned with worldly matters that you forget your Akhirah? Does it mean that you gain all the materialistic goals but lose out on your spiritual goals?

Yes, it could mean all this and more. But how do you know whether you are headed in the right direction or not? How does one make sure that they gain closeness to the Creator without losing out on Dunya?

Top Picks For The Day

Allah (SWT) created human beings with a weak nature. We must seek sincere tawba (repentance) and perform istighfar (forgiveness) as frequently as possible, Insha’Allah. We are inevitably tempted and fall into sins, and Shaytan is always inciting us towards performing sins.

Aisha Bint AbuBakr (RA) was the daughter of the closest companion of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr was such an exemplary believer that he got the title of Al-Siddiq during his lifetime, and of course, after the Prophet’s (SAW) death, he became the first Khalifah.

Surah Layl is the 92nd Surah in the Quran and begins with several oaths. Allah talks about the people of Taqwa, and what they do to please Him. He (SWT) also talks about specific characteristics of people who fall into Hellfire.

Some people have unfortunately propagated that this verse allows Muslims to fight with all Non-Muslims until they convert to Islam.

Blessed to serve you on your Qur'an journey,
