Asalaamu alaikum Friend,
Ramadan, the most blessed month of the year, is right around the corner Insha'Allah.
We ask Allah to give us life until and throughout Ramadan and enable us to make the most of the incredible opportunity. Ameen.
It's a time to celebrate... Allah tells us in the only verse of the Quran that mentions Ramadan by name:
شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِيَ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ
"The month of Ramadan in which the Quran was revealed"
Allah didn't say it's the month of fasting, or the month of extra prayers i.e. Taraweeh/Qiyaam, or the month of giving, or the month of forgiveness, or the month of delicious iftar food...
...while Ramadan is definitely about all of these things too, what does Allah tell us is the first thing we need to know about Ramadan which makes it so special?
It's that the Quran was revealed in this month. The night of Laylat-ul-Qadr, the specific night which is better than 1000 months on which the Quran started being revealed, is in this month.
So why are we celebrating?
Because Ramadan is a month-long celebration of the Quran AND because Allah tells us to celebrate the Quran. He says:
قُلْ بِفَضْلِ اللّهِ وَبِرَحْمَتِهِ فَبِذَلِكَ فَلْيَفْرَحُواْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ مِّمَّا يَجْمَعُونَ
"Say, by the favor of Allah and by His special mercy [i.e. the Quran] - for that they should be overjoyed. It is better than anything that they may collect."
At the end of the verse He says that "it i.e. the Quran is better than ANYTHING that they may collect."
The Way We Celebrate The Quran Is By Collecting It...
How beautiful, subhanAllah!
Every ayah you read, every Tajweed rule you learn, every ayah or surah you memorize, every word you understand, every Arabic learning concept your comprehend...these are some of the ways we "collect" the Quran.
Alhamdulillah, we will have the opportunity to celebrate and "collect" more Quran in this month than any other month.
Reading the Mushaf, reciting it in Salah 5 times a day, reciting it in all the extra prayers that we do i.e. Taraweeh, Qiyaam, Tahajjud, and memorizing it.
But you have to ask yourself a very important question:
What is the real purpose of all this collection, or interaction, with the Quran? What does Allah want us to take from the Quran, especially in Ramadan? He answers this question immediately in the next part of the verse:
هُدًى لِّلنَّاسِ
"a GUIDANCE for all of mankind"
It is guidance... and how can you attain guidance if you cannot even understand it?
How can you truly benefit from a map if you don't know the directions it's giving you?
You can read the map, you can recite it eloquently, you can even memorize the map...but you can't understand it?
No doubt there is reward in reading, reciting and memorizing Quran, don't get us wrong.
But if you don't put a primary focus on understanding the Quran in its revealed language, then you are missing out on SO much.
Understanding The Quran Is What Brings Life, Enjoyment And Khushoo' To One's Recitation, Memorization And Salah. Imagine understanding the words of your Creator. Imagine reading the Quran with understanding and comprehension as you read your first language. The way you're reading this right now and you understand every word (making no comparison to Allah and His Words of course).
Having said that, know that not only is Ramadan a month of celebration, it is also a month of hope. But how so?
Firstly, Ramadan itself is a month of hope. Secondly, the Quran is a book of hope and a message of hope.
The Quran gives us spiritual hope, emotional hope, intellectual hope... all kinds of hope.
And in this challenging situation that we are facing today with a pandemic that has spread globally and affected everyone in some way, we need hope.
This Ramadan will be very different than any other.
When The Houses Of Allah Will Likely Be Empty, This Is The Time For You To Bring Allah Into Your Own Home Through The Quran.
We need Allah's Book. We need His Divine Guidance and Wisdom. We need His Mercy and Forgiveness.
This is not the time to lose hope. Rather this is the time to regain and reignite our hope in Allah through the Quran and through the month of the Quran, Insha'Allah.
This upcoming month of celebration and hope is the reason why we have decided to open up full access to Quran Academy TV for 14 days for FREE.
Why?
Because as Ramadan begins in only a few days Insha'Allah, you should celebrate and collect the Quran.
You should understand as much of the Quran as possible so you can have a truly fulfilling and meaningful Ramadan experience.
You should use the Quran and Ramadan as a means of increasing your hope and your faith in Allah.
We believe that having access to everything on QA TV will help you achieve these goals Insha'Allah.
Even if you only stay on for the free 14 days and you don't continue thereafter, at least you got the full experience and utilized everything on the platform - for the final few days leading up to Ramadan and the first few days IN Ramadan.
We hope that you take advantage of this limited time opportunity and experience the full Quran Academy TV for free for 14 days...
This special opportunity expires in only two days on Thursday, April 23rd at 11:59pm EST.
