There's an important announcement I'd like to make.
At Quran Academy, a hacker deleted our database from June 3rd 2017-July 3rd, 2017 (A 30 Day Period Only).
What this means is that if you signed up to our app: Quran Companion during this time period of June 3rd-July 3rd (30 Day Period Only) or if you are an existing app user who made memorization progress in our app during this period of June 3rd-July 3rd, your information is lost.
If you are not an app user of Quran Companion, no information is lost.
Alhumdulillah though, we don't save any of your personally identifiable information so your login information, pw, etc we don't save or store it anywhere and we never had access to it and as a result, it's not hacked or stolen Alhumdulillah. We value privacy and uphold the highest standards to privacy.
I wanted to inform you the above information in the spirit of transparency and honesty and let you know that we have taken serious safety protocols so that this never happens again. We worked hard to securitize everything and now we built an even stronger fortress so that our servers are impenetrable Insha'Allah.
Here are the next steps for you:
A) If you signed up as a new user to the app between June 3rd - July 3rd 2017 (period of 30 days), please signup to the app again.
If you purchased a monthly or yearly subscription during this 30 day time period, signup to the app and go to the subscription section inside our app. Then go to restore subscription and your subscription will be restored for you Insha'Allah.
B) If you were an existing user before June 3rd, don't worry your memorization progress and everything is saved since you registered for the app (except the 30 day period of June 3rd-July 3rd). You can login to the app and continue with your Quran Memorization Progress Insha'Allah. |
