| | Two performances this weekend plus a workshop:
I am have two last minute shows to announce for this Saturday. The first is a Sambatoon fundraiser. Sambatoon is an amazing Afro-Brazilian percussion ensemble here in Saskatoon. We are fundraising to bring Marcus Santos from Brazil to teach a weekend rhythm workshop in August. There will be a lot of great performances on Saturday including the Sambatoon percussion ensemble. Details on the poster below. I play sometime after 9pm.

| | Traditional Classical Sitar Performance
I will also be performing at St. Paul's United Church from 6:30-7:30 as part of the Bangla Ustab 2015 (a celebration of Bangla culture and music, including a diverse cross cultural roster of performers). I will be performing a short solo classical sitar recital.

This year, Saskatoon Bangla Utsab (SBU) will host a cultural evening to celebrate Culture and Patriotism,
Date: Saturday, June 20, 2015.
Location: St Pauls United Church
454 Egbert Avenue, S7N 1X3.
Time: 6 pm
No admission fee.
The program will include children’s performance, youth performance, adult geeti alekhya, Mudra Dance School performance, professional sitar from an accomplished sitarist, Prosad and dance performance from a Ukrainian Dance School. (Please note: we had First Nations Pow Wow dance last year) to appreciate and celebrate our cultures together.
There will be food/snacks available for purchase.
Shaw Communications/TV will sponsor our program with some financial support, TV promotion, and door prizes at the event. There may also be other door prizes including a 50/50 draw.

| Drum Workshop - This Sunday from 7-9pm
Join us this Sunday for a drumming and rhythm workshop. In our ongoing workshop series we learn the techniques of hand drumming, study traditional African rhtythms, gain confidence, and have fun! Bring a djembe if you have one.
