There is a very special event happening this week that I want to share with you
For the past month I have had the very special privilege to work with Anastasia and Malika, two wonderful souls with angelic voices who sing in perfect harmony!
I have been helping them to record their album - adding instruments, recording, mixing and co-producing. It has been such a pleasure to record the beautiful music that they have created together.
If you are not familiar with kirtan, it is a form of devotional music where ancient mantras are put to music and sung from the heart. The melodies are repeated over and over, often building in intensity as they bring the listener into a beautiful state of peace, serenity and sometimes even inner bliss. As you listen, you may find yourself going deep within and feeling a sense of deep peace and calm wash over your being.
This practice is not specific to any religion (almost every culture uses music for healing and devotional practice) and you don't need to have to have any previous experience to participate, all you need to do is listen or even sing along and you will experience first hand that music and sound have the power to bring peace to the mind and heart.
Come and experience it for yourself.
I will be playing sitar, flute, guitar and percussion to accompany these two beautiful musicians.
