| Greeting from The Big Island of Hawaii!
(That's me in the top left with the hat on). I have just spent the last ten days studying African music in Hawaii with Grammy winner, Chris Berry. Our week long intensive workshop culminated in an incredible performance at Flow Festival with over 60 African Drummers, singers, dancers, vocalists and instrumentalists. It was actually one of the most ecstatic moments of my musical career. The Bana Kuma ("sacred altering") has been a magical time and a Flow Fest was one of the best festivals that I have ever been part of. So much "aloha" and love flowing! (No lava flow this time :)
I am excited that I will soon be traveling again to Toronto to share some of this love with you all.
I have two concerts coming up this weekend on February 13th and 14th.
The February 13th concert will be a Journey into the mystical embrace of Yoga, Sitar,
Didgeridoo, Bansuri and Mantra.
The concert on February 14th will be hosted by Liz Diaz of Conscious Dance Parties and will feature an opening acoustic set of love songs and poetry (in celebration of Valentine's Day), followed by a second set of ecstatic dancing to trance sitar and world reggae "conscious love vibes".
