The 41st Cambridge Film Festival begins on Thursday!

The Festival opens this Thursday with THE BANSHEES OF INISHERIN - which arrives in the city fresh from winning Best Screenplay and Best Actor (Colin Farrell) awards at the Venice Film Festival.

It is the latest feature from Martin McDonagh (In Bruges, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and will be ably supported in Cambridge by the Best Film award winners from all of Europe's major festivals!

Laura Poitras’ fascinating documentary, ALL THE BEAUTY AND THE BLOODSHED, about artist Nan Goldin and her part in the downfall of a pharmaceutical giant, took home the Golden Lion in Venice.

Ruben Östlund won his second Cannes Film Festival Palme d’Or with the hilarious critique of celebrity and power, TRIANGLE OF SADNESS.

And the “big three” of Venice, Cannes and Berlin is completed by the beautiful ALCARRÀS, which became the first Catalan film to take the crown at Berlin International Film Festival when it secured the prestigious Golden Bear.

Cambridge Film Festival is presented by Cambridge Film Trust, a registered charity with a mission to foster film culture and education for the benefit of the public, in Cambridge and the Eastern region but also throughout the UK

By becoming a Friend or Patron of Cambridge Film Festival you support not only the UK’s third longest-running film festival but also a year-round programme of activities and events bringing the best British and independent international cinema to Cambridge.
