All the Beauty and the Bloodshed

all the beauty and the bloodshed

What a stunning first full day of the Festival we had on Friday. Thank you to everyone who joined us.

The award-winning films continue with tonight's screening of Ruben Östlund's second Palme d'Or winning feature, TRIANGLE OF SADNESS, which is nearly sold out, so book your tickets now.

Don't worry too much if you miss out though, because we are thrilled to welcome director Neil Maskell, producers Helen Simmons and Stephanie Aspin, and star Sura Dohnke for a Q&A of his new film, the gripping thriller KLOKKENLUIDER.

Your Gala Screening tomorrow night is the Venice Golden Lion-winning ALL THE BEAUTY AND THE BLOODSHED. An epic, emotional and interconnected story about the internationally renowned artist and activist Nan Goldin told through her slideshows, intimate interviews, ground-breaking photography, and rare footage of her fight to hold the Sackler family accountable for the US opioid crisis.

At 10:45 tomorrow morning is your last chance to see Catalan director Maria Ripoll's second CFF film, the hilarious WE WON'T KILL EACH OTHER WITH GUNS, programmed and introduced by Camera Catalonia programmer Ramon Lamarca.

For families, the winner of the Cristal Award for a Feature Film at the Annecy Festival, LITTLE NICHOLAS, HAPPY AS CAN BE is a beautiful hand-drawn animation which tells the story of the invention of cheeky schoolboy Nicholas and his classmates by writer René Goscinny and cartoonist Jean-Jacques Sempé.
