volunteer as a short film reviewer

your film festival needs you

The Youth Lab at CFF42. Look how happy they are!

are you a film lover?!

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team as shorts reviewers.

If you have a passion for film and a few hours to spare each week, we'd love for you to get involved! Your task will be to watch and rate short film submissions, helping us identify the very best for this year's festival.

No experience is needed - just a love for cinema. Plus, you'll get your name featured on our pre-film thank-you screens and enjoy complimentary tickets to Festival screenings.

Reviewing is all online so that you can participate from anywhere!

If you or someone you know would be interested, please contact our excellent Submissions Coordinator, Hannah, at submissions@cambridgefilmfestival.org.uk

The deadline to sign up is the end of May.

Let's make this year's festival unforgettable together!

Savina Petkova, Teodosia Dobriyanova and Nathasha Orlando Kappler

introducing new programmers for 2024

After two years as a CFF programmer (you will certainly have seen her introducing films at last year's Festival), Savina Petkova is our new Programming Panel Lead.

She steps into the role previously held by Elle Haywood, who will continue contributing to the Festival as a programme advisor.

Joining Savina on the panel are newcomers Teodosia Dobriyanova and Nathasha Orlando Kappler, along with the seasoned Catalan film expert Ramon Lamarca, who has been a pillar of the Festival for over a decade.

Teodosia is a filmmaker and curator known for her work with the New East Cinema programme at the Barbican Centre. Nathasha is a passionate advocate for inclusive cinema from marginalised communities. We know they are going to be amazing and we're excited for them to infuse the festival with diverse and vibrant cinematic selections.

Additionally, Amon Warmann, Contributing Editor & monthly columnist at Empire Magazine and a CFF programmer since 2022, is taking on a brand new role as the Festival’s Industry Curator. In this capacity, Amon will oversee the ever-expanding CFF Industry Day and spearhead the 2024 Outstanding Contribution to Cinema Award, celebrating notable achievements in the film industry.
