Phase 5 Coming Soon...

It was announced recently that the Phase 5 of the Illinois Restore Plan will be coming to town starting June 11th (see link below). This is very important step that allows us to open the dinning room to full capacity. At this time we will maintain our current level of service with the Ready Plate Specials and Curbside Carry Out for the month of June. The hours for dine-in and curbside will be 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. For a the new schedule coming soon, please keep reading....
Back to the Smorgasbord

At this time we would like to formally announce that will be modifying our schedule and food service in the very near future.

Starting on Tuesday, July 6th the All-You-Care-To-Eat Buffet will be available for Lunch Only. Our new hours will be changing to Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

This schedule change will also mean that we will discontinue the Ready Plate Specials and Curbside Carry Out service. Due to the excessive amount of interest of the Buffet coming back, we do recommend making reservations for larger parties.

Time to Celebrate

The formatting for this newsletter (Polonia Gazeta) has been updated to reflect the feedback we received from our weekly mailings (Polonia Biuletyn). We hope that you find the information clear and easy to ready for both PC and mobile devices. With the Buffet coming back in July the newsletter schedule also be returning to the Monthly updates. That means we will only launch the Polonia Biuletyn for quick updates as necessary.

Make a note that we will be Closed on Saturday, July 3rd for a Private Party. Our Curbside Service will still be available until 6 p.m. That same weekend we will be Closed on Sunday, July 4th so that everyone can Celebrate a Safe and Happy Holiday weekend.

Special Offers will be held for the time being as we continue to open our Buffet once again. We appreciate your understanding on this matter.

Response: At this time we are only going to reopen the Buffet from Tuesday through Saturday, however the Roast Duck is available everyday!

[Additional Feedback]: My family is in the third generation of eating at Sawas. My late husband and I first went in 1973 with my future in-laws in 1973, the year we later were married. Since then we have dined many times, It is so nice to have these memories. We were last there just before the pandemic hit, and we can hardly wait for the buffet to be reinstated for indoor dining.

[Additional Feedback]: I know you are open a few days a week, but are you going back to 6 days and when are you going to open as a buffet and not where the waitress will bring you one plate and not have the opportunity to go up as many times as you want? I prefer getting my food like it was before, not going to make the long trip for one plate for the same price as the regular buffet.
Reponse: When we open the Buffet on July 6th it will be for Lunch Only going with Tuesday through Saturdays.
