Celebrate Independence Day

Cost: Adults $18 (All Day) Children $0 (All Day)

The weather is going to perfect this week for watching parades and celebrating the holiday. When you get hungry be sure to stop on over to enjoy our All-You-Care-To-Eat Buffet and Dessert Bar to make your own Sundae. Adults are only $18 and Children can eat at No Charge. There will be special items on the buffet for all to enjoy. If you are bringing a lot of kids over, then we suggest making a reservation to ensure everyone can sit together.

Bus Trip to Pierogi Fest

We are looking for people who would be interested in attending the Pierogi Fest in Whiting, IN on Saturday, July 27th, 2024. The bus-trip event would offer round trip transportation to the event between 12 Noon and 7 p.m. In order to make this happen to we need at least 35 people to sign-up before securing the bus. We are not collecting money at this time; however you can provide how many people in your party are interested in going by using the button below to send Marc an email. Responses must be received no later than Saturday, July 13th. An update will be sent by July 15th to everyone who provided interest via email directly.

Bus Trip to Taste of Polonia

Little closer to home at The Copernicus Center is the annual Taste of Polonia taking place at the end of August (Labor Day Weekend). If anyone wants to take a trip up there as a group the travel date will be Saturday, August 31st. We plan to leave around 12 Noon and return by 8 p.m. Cost will include tickets to the event and transportation. Again, need to know how many people are going to calculate the costs per person. Use the link below to email Marc with the number of people in your party if you are interested in going. Let us know by Saturday, July 13th if you are interested.

If we get enough people to attend, then we will post more details on our website as well as contact those interested directly with all of the details. Hope to hear from you soon.

News You Can Use

§ As the summer rages on do not forget about the ever-popular Polish Taco Night on the Second Tuesday of the Month between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. to enjoy a free Polish Taco off the grill.

Go to the bar and order a drink to get your ticket from the bartender. Upcoming dates include July 9th, August 13th, September 17th and October 8th.

§Trip to Poland Photos - Anyone who took advantage of the Trip to Poland that was being promoted from Sawa's Old Warsaw and has pictures or a story to share, then please use to the link (button) below to get in touch with Marc with details. We would like to offer a chance to share your experience / feedback via the newsletter and / or website for to all to enjoy.

§ Classic Car Show Reminder -Due to unforeseen circumstances we regret to announce that its not possible to host our Annual Classic Car Show this year. We know how many people wanted to come out to that event (rain or shine) to enjoy the weather and check out some cool cars. However, we hope that we can get things back to normal in time to host another great event next year.

[General Feedback] I love the newsletter--always keeps me and my family up on all the goings on over at the restaurant--we don't go as frequently as we used to, but we always have fond memories of celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and get-togethers with friends and family there. [General Feedback] My fondest memory is when my wife and I took my son and daughter to Sawa's for the first time. Their eyes were wide open as they marveled at the mound of chicken and could have all the Jell-O they wanted along with some new pastry for them: Kolaczki. Nothing beats that powdered sugar smile. Sawa's has always been a place for family, ever since I can remember first going with grandpa over 40 years ago, and now it continues with my children.
