Coming Home with Gold
Congrats to Marc for coming back from Chicago with not one, but two medals this year! First medal won was taking the Silver (2nd Place) for the 500 Meters Indoor Rowing. The other medial was taking Gold (1st Place) in the Biathlon (Cross-country Skiing and Air Rifle). Marc is a Veteran of 10 years from the U. S. Air Force. We are proud to support him and all of our troops.
The event is called the Valor Games Midwest, which is a 3-day competition held downtown Chicago by the Chicago Park District for Disabled Veterans. Events include Indoor Rowing, Discus, Shot-put, Archery, Cycling Experience, Table Tennis, Biathlon, and Powerlifting. Click on the link below to learn more.
Bus Trip Update
We hate to say it, but the bus trip this year will not be able to take place as we hoped. We did get a few people who were interested, however it wasn't enough to fill up a bus. Plus the fact the bus company failed to follow-up in time to give any sort of quote to figure out a price per person. We would like to try to do this event next year with your support. We will keep track of the dates and give more people a chance to chime in so we can fill up the bus and have a great time.

We have recently learned that the forms and some other emails, being sent via the website, have been redirected to the SPAM folder for some odd reason. That included a few inquires and many birthday wishes that fortunately were only sidetracked but not totally lost.
