Subject: [PODCAST] How Having a Clear Niche Has Grown My Therapy Business

Friend,

You may know Dr. Joy Harden Bradford, or Dr. Joy for short, as she is the creator of Therapy for Black Girls.

I totally enjoyed listening to Joy's story of how Therapy for Black Girls was created from a Google Drive document. #WeLoveGoogleDrive!

Her story began with a feeling we all know too well, the feeling of fear and uncertainty of defining a clear niche in your practice.

Dr. Joy realized that many black women felt stigmatized by going to therapy.  She also wanted to create something that gave black female therapists the permission to feel okay with stating and declaring that their ideal clients were working with black women.

Even Dr. Joy wasn't so sure initially if her idea would take off, and it wasn't until she was at a retreat with two of our faves, Tiffany McLain and Allison Puryear, who were inspired by her idea and pushed her to go FOR IT.

That is how Therapy for Black Girls was created.

Dr. Joy, like many of our guests, is a woman after our own hearts, who understands that having a clear niche can transform a practice AND serve a specific need for a certain population, issue or problem.

Listen in on this podcast to learn how Therapy for Black Girls has completely taken off and how Dr. Joy has created a following of raving fans.

She has been featured in O Magazine, Huffington Post, Essence AND Teen Vogue!!

Dr. Joy barely does any marketing because her raving fans do it for her!

So listen in to learn about Dr. Joy's journey of niching and transforming her practice!
