| Dear Jack Pack,
The time has come!!
We're thrilled to announce that our film, The House That Jack Built, is finally ready for it's moment in the spotlight. We're getting a national release! The film opens in select cities and on Cable VOD and digital platforms on November 6th. 20 years after Joe Vasquez's death, the film will finally be available for a wide audience to experience.
One of the reasons we're getting this great opportunity is because of the support you all gave us. Cast and crew, Kickstarter Backers, film festival attendees, social media fans--all of you had a part in the success of Jack, and now we can all savor this moment.
But wait, first we need to make the most of the moment. To insure that the film reaches as wide an audience as possible, we're asking you to help us spread the word. Here's what you can do:
- Pre-Order, Rate and Review the film on iTunes. The film comes out on Nov. 6th, but it's available for pre-order on iTunes now. The number of pre-orders we get determines how well the film will be positioned on the platform come Nov. 6th. The more ratings and reviews we get also helps that placement, and helps convince audiences to give the film a chance. Rating and reviewing it only takes a minute, and that will help us immensely! RATE ON ITUNES >
- Watch our new trailer. iTunes just released our new trailer exclusively on their Movie Trailers page. The more views we get, the better our eventual placement on the platform will be! WATCH JACK TRAILER >
- Spread the word about our screenings. The film will screen in these cities in the following weeks: Minneapolis, The Bronx, Phoenix, Cleveland, Atlanta, Orlando, Seattle, and Daytona Beach. If you're in any of these cities, please come check out the film on the big screen. And please let your friends know about these screenings. For more information about where and when the film will be screening, please visit our website: JACK SCREENING INFO >
- Spread the word about our VOD release. Beginning Nov. 6th, the film will be available On Demand via the following cable providers: Armstrong, Atlantic, AT&T, Bend Broadband, Brighthouse, Cablevision, Comcast, Cox, Dish Network, DirectTV, Mediacom, Optimim, Suddenlink, and Time Warner. That covers most of the country. And in addition to iTunes, it will be available on these digital platforms: Blockbuster On Demand, Google Play, YouTube Movies, Sony PlayStation, XBox (Microsoft Movies & TV), Vudu, and Vubiquity. Please let your friends know about the film and if you're a social media person, please feel free to post the links of our iTunes page or website. Word-of-mouth is one of the most effective ways to get people to see the film.

| | We're looking forward to getting some great reviews in the coming days, as more critics see the film for the upcoming release. As you probably know, the film has already received some pretty terrific reviews. Here's a sampling:
"Simply brilliant...not to be missed. Full of great moments and performances." - QUIET EARTH
"Takes us on a majestic journey of crime, family drama, and redemption. Not since ‘Real Women Have Curves’ has there been such a thorough investigation into the complexities of Hispanic-American culture." - AWARDS CIRCUIT
"Bring(s) to mind the great classic movie about family, The ‘Godfather.’ Barrial’s direction effectively captures both the tender moments, and the scenes of explosive violence." - WE ARE MOVIE GEEKS
"Using Bronx locations and a strong cast of Caribbean-Latino actors, director Henry Barrial constructs a convincing portrait of a neighborhood and its Nuyorican culture, staying true to the scale and sensibility that filmmaker Joseph B. Vasquez envisioned for the movie." - THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER
"A must-see. Takes the audience on a dramatic, emotional roller-coaster ride." - SAN ANTONIO EXAMINER
"A superb example of fine independent filmmaking. This film has real passion, a wonderful cast, an excellent sense of place and time and a director firmly and confidently in charge of the storytelling. Definitely seek this one out." - DIAMONDS IN THE ROUGH
Again, we can't thank you enough. And with your help, we can make sure that more people will be able to enjoy the film. It's been a long road and a lot of work, and it's exciting for us to finally have this opportunity to share the fruits of our labor, and the labor of such a great artist as Joe Vasquez, with the world.
Sincerely, The Entire Jack Team! |
