PGCode's Power Community Hack Day that will explore the concepts of power, resistance and currents. The Community Hack Day is sponsored by the Prince George’s Social Innovation Fund’s (2017 Forty Under 40 Cohort) as a part of the county wide Innovate Prince Georges initiative in partnership with the LAC Community Development Corporation, University of Maryland College Park (UMCP), and Major League Hacking (MLH). PGCode organizers seek to engage 75-100 students enrolled in Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS) in an enriching learning experience that will expose them to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

We at the PGCSIF continue to be proud of our advocacy around food truck legislation. We are excited about the FIRST Food Truck Frenzy at Watkins Park. The Food Truck Frenzy will be held on Saturday, May 5 at Watkins Regional Park, from 11:00am until 3:00pm. The event will be held rain or shine. Celebrate Cinco De Mayo with fun games, music, and food trucks! The event is perfect for the whole family! All vendors are local so come support your Prince George's County small businesses.
