Recently Pet Dedicated was asked the following, what is your view, let us know.

Do you think, that your deceased beloved pet could come back again in your life later?

I had Peppi who was a cross of many different breeds, but predominately German Shepard. I was able to keep him after my divorce, I cared and loved him for about 14 years. Sadly due to age and riddled with disease I had to make the heart wrenching decision to put him down. That was over 10 years ago and he is still in my memory, so deep was the affection, companionship and bond we had during a very emotional period of my life. Peppi was a wonderful pet / companion to both my girls and I and we remember him fondly, but unfortunately it is only a memory, maybe one day when the time comes we will be reunited, that will not be up to me, regardless of how hard I wish it to be possible.

Do Rabbits Miss Their Owners?

We are Rabbit Owners, of Smoky and Sammy both are Netherland Lops and we love them dearly, they are very much members of the family. We think they miss us when we are not around, because we can see the effect of our absence on them when we return from work or an outing. They bound over our feet and even sleep in the same room as we do. Essentially Smoky and Sammy will stay with us all day when we work from home. So yes I think they miss us when we are not around.

We suppose because rabbits are social animals that can form strong bonds with their owners and may miss them when they are gone. Like dogs and cats, rabbits can experience separation anxiety when separated from their owners, which can cause them to become anxious, stressed, or depressed.

Rabbits may show signs of missing their owners by becoming more lethargic, withdrawn, or less interested in eating, playing, or interacting with others. They may also become more vocal, such as by making loud noises or thumping their hind legs, as a way to communicate their distress.

It's important for rabbit owners to provide their pets with plenty of mental and physical stimulation, such as by providing toys, tunnels, and other enrichment activities, to help reduce stress and anxiety when they are away from home. Additionally, spending time with your rabbit and providing them with plenty of attention and affection when you are home can help strengthen the bond between you and your pet and reduce the likelihood of separation anxiety.
