Last Thursday we launched the P.E.A.C.E. Principles with the first Principle:
Having a PERSPECTIVE of PROSPERITY!
This is exemplified in the Wayne Dyer quote I shared:
“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

And here are some "Cliff Notes":
Among other things, I busted a MYTH of Financial Stress: "It's only/just about the money."
I also talked about the fantasy of how "life would just be grand if I never had to worry about money!" and presented the paradigm of "Financial Transformation."
Financial Transformation shifts us from thinking about money as "just numbers game" you're either winning or losing, to looking at our relationship with money from the 30,000 foot view.
Financial Transformation asks us to consider what we are LEARNING - not just what we are EARNING! It invites us to look at our relationship with money (warts and all) as part of our personal and professional growth, even our spiritual journey.
For example, money can help us:
- Develop discipline
- Get out of our comfort zone
- Embrace ourselves with compassion
- Learn self-reliance
- Offer greater value
- Increase creativity, innovation, and motivation
- Think long-term rather than seek instant gratification
- Be inspired into action!
Money can teach generosity, give us opportunities to forgive ourselves and others, and challenge us to believe in ourselves!
How might money be serving YOU!? If there was a bigger, grander purpose for money in your life than paying the bills, what would it be?
I also shared the importance of "scanning for the positive," whether in investing, business, or life in general. One way to train your brain to scan for the positive is simply... GRATITUDE!
Among other benefits, gratitude actually CHANGES how the brain sees the world. I recommended a TED talk from positive psychologist Shawn Achor. As he says in the talk:
"What we're finding it's not necessarily reality that shapes us, but the lens through through your brain sees the world that shapes your reality."
I'm VERY grateful for all who joined me in The P.E.A.C.E. Principles kick-off!
