Last Week's REPLAY and NOTES!
Last Thursday's topic was: “EMPOWER Your EXPERIENCE!”
I adapted this from Dr. Sue Morter, who says, "Even when we can’t control our circumstances, we can empower our experience."
You can do hard things well.
You can reclaim your power even when others don’t believe in you.
You can experience grace and gratitude—even in the middle of a job loss, a market crash, or a foreclosure.
In the session, I shared my story of reclaiming my power and experiencing grace and gratitude in the very worst of circumstances—a foreclosure.
We also did an exercise to demonstrate how our thoughts about money impact our physiology and our energy.
The opposite is also true—your physiology affects your psychology!
When times get tough or you are out of your comfort zone, you might respond to challenges with: - an extra drink
- an extra muffin
- binge-watching Netflix
- creative avoidance (re-arranging the sock drawer when there’s work to do)
- or over-dosing on the news.
Noone wants to go through life disempowered. So understand your “default” mode (the coping mechanism leaves you disempowered).
Then know how YOU switch ON YOUR personal power!
We shared some of our favorite ways:- dance
- aerial yoga
- an awesome morning routine with prayer, journaling and gratitude
- essential oils
- mirror work
- affirmations
- meditation
- tapping/ETF
- walks outside
- positive people!
When you can empower yourself—especially when facing a money task or challenge—you will transform what is possible.
