This, from a recent Gallup poll. I know that number probably seems a bit high when you look at your actual turnover rates. And true, there's a stark difference between "actively looking" and "doing." 

But still, you want to know if a member of your team is considering a move. Because even if their search never develops into anything further, just the fact that someone's looking means that he or she isn't fully invested in their role at your organization. And that's going to cost you—in one way or another.

...Which is why now is the perfect time to brush up on a few tips for recognizing when someone might be thinking about a change of scenery. Why now? Because we're coming up on the New Year.
