AYO Return To Stage

The Australian Youth Orchestra, the pinnacle of musical excellence for young people across the nation, returns to the stage at Sydney Town Hall this July with Richard Strauss’ heroic masterpiece, An Alpine Symphony. Images of nature and rugged landscapes are beautifully depicted in this sonic portrait composed in 1915.

The Australian Youth Orchestra will also perform the spectacular overture of Hector Berlioz’s unfinished opera Les Francs-juges. This seventy-minute program will be presented without an interval. To celebrate our return to the stage, we are welcoming audiences back with $25 for all tickets.

Peter And The Wolf Children’s Orchestral Concert

One of the most popular children’s classical concerts of all time, Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf will enchant, entertain and educate audiences both young and old. Take your children on this amazing musical journey with Peter and his Grandfather, the Bird, Cat, Duck, the Hunters, and of course the big, bad, Wolf. During this interactive Babies Proms performance, children are introduced to each of the musical instruments that represent the different characters of this timeless story.
