NYE in Sydney:
The Fireworks and the Harbour

Every year, there is a theme to the night, this year it is City of Colour, a tribute to our beaches, parks and vibrant city streets, along with our diverse backgrounds, culture and rich history.


The Line up:
6pm - Pre-show Entertainment
8.30pm - Pylon Projections
8.40pm - Welcome to Country
9pm -  Family Fireworks Display
9.15pm - Harbour of Light Parade

NYE at the Cargo Bar
Sydney’s most boisterous NYE party on the harbour has done it again! Witha line up on offer that boasts future beats and local Aussie talent sprawled across the two levels of Cargo Bar and extended out onto the
pier, plus a ticket price that won't break your bank, this year's party doesn't need much thought!

Keeping the Kids Entertained:
Crayola Creative Centre at Bankstown Central
The Crayola Creative Centre is coming to Bankstown Central these school
holidays and everyone’s invited to come and get creative. This fun and
educational FREE entertainment activity will run Monday 11 January
through to Friday 15 January daily.

Kids and Teens Musical Theatre Workshops
The highly praised Applause Holiday workshops are back this summer! A crash course in the art of the "triple threat", kids and teens learn to
sing, dance and act scenes and songs from a musical! What show could it be this time...?

Bard on the Beach
Balmoral Season
In 2016, Bard On The Beach (BOTB) will be presenting William Shakespeare’s powerful and thought provoking the Tragedy of Hamlet and the black and absurdly acute comedy Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, by Tom Stoppard.
The Sydney Festival:
The Sydney Festival is when Sydney really come alive with culture and free events for everyone to enjoy. Here are just a few of them. For more visit our website all the events have the festival logo, so they are easy to spot.
Bubble Disco 12 - 16 Jan
People of all ages can enjoy this silent disco, with DJs spinning tunes that are sure to get the entire family on the dancefloor and amongst the plentiful bubbles floating around.
Put on a pair of headphones (supplied) and dance the afternoon away!
Opera in the Domain - 23 Jan
The stars begin to twinkle as daylight fades, and the picnic blanket is spread with good fare. From the stage, the sound of the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra fills the night, and some of Opera Australia’s best singers perform opera’s greatest hits.

Australia Day:
Sydney comes alive on Australia Day. It has it all from races on the harbour, cars along Elizabeth Street, Music in the Rocks, Markets and of course fireworks. A full run down of free events can be found here - www.australiaday.com.au
Ferrython
Sydney Harbour turns spectacular with Ferrython, one of Australia’s most popular and iconic free events. See our beloved ferries in this hugely popular Australia Day tradition, as they venture from Circular Quay to Shark Island and then back to a glorious finish at the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Pack a picnic and gather on the foreshore to barrack for your favourite ferry.

Australia Day Celebrations at Sydney Olympic Park
Bring your family to Sydney Olympic Park this Australia Day and celebrate our national day with an action-packed schedule of FREE entertainment, activities and fireworks.
More than 6,000 people are expected to take part in the family-friendly festivities taking place at Cathy Freeman Park and presented by Sydney Olympic Park Authority and Auburn City Council.
The event will kick-off at 12noon on Tuesday 26 January with international food fare, family activities and live entertainment, before a fireworks finale just before 9pm.
