The Sydney Comedy Festival is here again. It runs from 22 April until 19 May. There are hundreds of shows booked across 21 venues!
There are comedians from all over the world the UK, America, South Africa, Japan, New Zealand to name but a few, one show will be performed in Mandarin.

Gerard McGowan
Gerard McGowan brings his hour of stand up comedy to the The Sydney Comedy Festival , fresh from his nomination for the comedy award in Perth Fringe 2018. Twice Raw Comedy State Finalist (2013, 2015) and part of both the Sydney & Brisbane Comedy festival Breakout showcases (2015). He has been featured on 2day FM, Triple J, ABC and Comedy Central (2017).

Daniel Connell - Piece of Piss

Stephen K Amos - The Story So Far
The undeniably brilliant, comedy superstar Stephen K Amos, returns to Sydney with “The Story So Far”. Stephen will take us with him on an hilarious journey as he looks back at his last decade of comedy.

Jimmy McGhie - Need(y)
Jimmy’s naturally funny, real life style of storytelling have made him
one of the best loved comedians at Festival’s across the globe. And now it’s Sydney’s turn to fall in love, as Jimmy brings his first solo show to the Sydney Comedy Festival.

Friday 26th April 7pmJohn Hastings - Float like a butterfly, John Hastings like a Bee!
Melbourne audiences and critics could not get enough of John, so much so that double the amount of planned shows were added to his season to meet the demand for his own special hilariousness. 
Last year, John Hastings was hit by a car and broke his arm.
He then became homeless (his choice) with a long-distance girlfriend (her choice) and now has a lot of thoughts on pigeons and bicycles (your choice).
Now he’s written this comedy show. A tale of displacement, death and denial (don’t worry, there are jokes too).

Chris Ryan - Bogus
Chris Ryan’s laconic take on passive aggressive co-workers, family and relationships earned her spots on Sydney Comedy Festival Frocking Hilarious Gala (2019) and Showcase tours to Queensland and NSW, the Canberra Comedy Festival Gala, TEDxCanberra, Floriade Nightfest, the Fearless Comedy Gala and CanBRA Comedy Gala in 2018.

Anthony Locascio: Unaccounted
April 2018; Anthony Locascio quits his 9-5 accounting job to pursue a career in stand-up comedy, seemingly out of nowhere. It had been a long time coming. The subject matter of these stories ranges from Lion King plot-holes to feeling awkward listening to hip-hop music, from social media grievances to issues with rugby league fandom, and everything in between.

Daniel Townes - Indeed
The best of his best. Anything he’s told that’s brought the roof down and is still relevant, excluding anything from 2018 but with a few new classics thrown in to keep it fresh.
Townes pours 16 years of experience onstage into his dry, intelligent and brilliantly relatable comedy, with a laid-back charm that makes entertaining a room full of strangers look easy.
