Australian Youth Orchestra with Andrey Gugnin

There’s no mistaking the opening bars of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No.1 – it has been a favourite in concert halls around the globe for over a century. The Australian Youth Orchestra will join forces with the winner of the 2016 Sydney International Piano Competition, Andrey Gugnin, to bring you a dazzlingly fresh performance of this beloved work, brimming with charming Russian folk melodies.

The Marvellous Sock Machine
7 - 22 July, Wednesdays to Sundays 11 am

Sock Buddies, Spud and Gromit, are inundated with washing soooo many socks – and they’re always losing them! What are they to do?

An interactive show for kids aged 2-8 years.

Gromit has a great idea! She starts to build the Marvellous Sock Machine that washes, sorts and pairs all the socks up.

Family Fun Opera - Don Pasquale

Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 August

Celebrate the Year of the Dog with action-packed pooch performances and s-paw-ting sensations at the Sydney Dog Lovers Show!
The inaugural Common Woof Games will see canine competitors thrash it out for Gold, Silver and Bronze in Dog Socca, Dog Basketball, Dog Vault and Barrel Racing in the Royal Canin Arena.

The outdoor aquatic program, Black Hawk DockDogs, will see the pinnacle of Australia’s finest aqua-dogs come together in a spectacular poolside competition.

ITS School Holiday Program
9 - 17 July

Come join Giant Dwarf’s little improv program these school holidays with the Improv Theatre Sydney ensemble! Workshops cater for ages 5-7, 8-12 and 13-17.

ITS is running a series of daytime workshops, ending in a performance for parents' viewing, at Giant Dwarf Theatre during the school holidays. Our instructors regularly work at schools around Sydney and at the request of teachers and parents, we're working with the theatre to get your kids in on our fun.
