Subject: Award-winning Hungarian violinist József Lendvay to perform ‘in the round’ for the first time in Australia

Live at the Great: Hungarian virtuoso, József Lendvay

Exclusive Sydney performance

28 - 29 May

The Great Synagogue, Sydney

Hungary’s superstar violinist József Lendvay will perform exclusively in Sydney with Live at Yours this May (28-29), promising audiences a city-first musical experience at The Great Synagogue. Lendvay will perform ‘in the round’; that is, playing on a stage in the middle of the architecturally stunning Great Synagogue, with the audience gathered around him, creating a unique and intimate musical experience.

His performance, described by the New York Times as “revelatory in its blisteringly virtuosic moments as in its soulful ones,” will take guests on a journey through romantic masterworks with a number of fiery gypsy pieces in-between.

Lendvay will dazzle audiences with his brilliance and finesse on his centuries-old Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume violin. Sensitively accompanied by highly acclaimed pianist Edward Neeman, audiences will be taken on an uplifting journey through Hungarian violin masterpieces, including Bloch’s Baal Shem, Brahms’ Hungarian dances + Sonata No. 3 in D minor and Ravel’s Tzigane.

A concert to inspire all senses and recharge your soul!
