Not sure if you saw if you missed this... I know how easy it is to lose the occasional gem of an email amongst all the chaff... but I know you were keen on the swimming last year and don't want you to miss this opportunity. You've probably already heard about the ‘Ice Breaker’ event coming up on 22nd March… Don't worry if you haven't... You can find the full details here and there's still chance to get in on the action.
It's going to be an epic pre-season social where you guys can chin-wag, share war stories and if you're feeling brace, you can even go for a chilly dip (not the stuff you have with your chicken nuggets) in the lake. Here’s what to expect on the day… - We meet up around 9am for a catch up…
- The swim session will be from 9:30am – 11:00am for those that fancy it…
- An ASA and STA Open Water Swim Coach will be on hand to get technique pointers and ask about coaching sessions…
- Our friends from Coffee Gang will be here with their top hot beverages and nibbles…
- We will be having a charity cake sale in support of Sport Relief so bring your family along…
- There will be a Season Ticket offer… More details below…
- A Free Prize Draw for those that swim on the day to win a FREE season ticket…
- We’ve held last year’s price of £5 and on 22nd… One Pound per swim gets donated to Sport Relief.
This season, we’re increasing one of the swim circuit options on EVERY Saturday morning… Those that fancy it will have a longer 800m loop to stretch yourselves. Don’t worry if you’re like me and that deeper water freaks you out… The 200m and 400m loops will still be there. We are sticking with the popular Monday and Wednesday evening slots from 6pm till dusk in addition to the Saturday mornings. We listened to you guys and have introduced a couple of awesome payment options for the regular swimmers... As well as the flexible £5 pay-per-swim option, we are also introducing a 10 session card. 10 swims for only £40 (A saving of a £1 a swim). And… if you’re a swimming beast that likes to hit it a couple of times a week or more… we have a season ticket offer that’s just for you. Swim the whole season… April 5th to September 29th; get access to monthly coaching sessions, as many swims per week as you like…. …If you did that on a pay per swim basis it would be over £300… Even with a 10 session card it would be around £240. Our full season ticket will only be £97. But here’s the kicker Friend… If you come along on 22nd March to support our Ice Breaker event and Sport Relief… We will have the same season ticket available for just £80. You could just come along for the social and to get a ticket if you don’t fancy icicles on your eye-brows. This season will start from Saturday 5th April…. You might need your wetsuits for this one… and I’m looking forward to seeing you here again this year.
