If you're interested in making money in a home-based business, here's a quick little thought that might be helpful.

In order to get people to buy from you, you do need something called 'influence', but don't get it twisted like most people do.

There are two types of influence & most assume that if they don't have the more popular version, they may as well not even get started.

This would be a mistake.

Let me explain.

The first form of influence goes like this...

"Hey, look how much money I've made. You should listen to me."

Having had success is certainly one kind of influence and we call this form of influence... credibility.

But here's the thing. You can succeed without this.

Today on social media I saw a post that started off with a bunch of results & then transitioned into a "hey you should buy my thing."

I didn't doubt the results this person was talking about, I just didn't care.

I scrolled right on by.

Why?

Because I didn't know em' that well, I didn't like em' that much, and I didn't really trust them at all.

After two decades in home business, I realized, what they say is true.

People buy from people they know, like, and trust.

This is the second form of influence and in my opinion the far more powerful form.

Like I said before, if you have results but nobody likes you or trusts you, results don't mean much when it comes to being able to make a sale.

On the flip side, if people do know you, like you, and trust you and have some desire for the benefit that your offer can provide, they will pull out their credit card and buy, even if you haven't made a dime.

This is why, It's possible, for anyone to create success from home, even if they have no results to speak of (yet).

Anyone can learn to be like-able, anyone can create consistent content or have conversations so they'll be knowable.

And anyone can tell the truth and be consistent so they'll be trustable.

Don't get me wrong, results are powerful when you have them, but they're way more powerful when you combine them with the know, like, trust form of influence.

Plus, even if you don't have results yet yourself, you can always borrow the credibility type of results from the people you're working with.

So if you're one of those people that's told yourself you can't create success and build residual income from home, because you don't have any results..

Please immediately delete that thought from your mind or throw it in the garbage, where it belongs with all of the other excuses that sometimes hold us back from being our best, serving those around us and building the lives we love.
