Hey Friend,
I love the internet.
It changed my business, and it changed my life.
That being said, I do think many of the ways people talk about it relating to business are over rated and give so many people the wrong idea.
I was talking to a friend who's looking at joining my business and he asked me about leads.
Everyone wants a quick solution.
Here's what I told him.
'Seriously dude, you need to learn how to connect with peeps online. You are great at building relationships and could do really well sharing this with people in the right way. Traffic, automatic sales - all somewhat over rated. Genuinely connecting with people and helping them -> where it's at.'
He said...
'Good advice'.
And it is.
Not because I said it, but because it's true.
The best way to use the internet to build something long term that won't be here today and gone tomorrow is to combine high tech with high touch.
When I shared with one of our top affiliates what our average lifetime customer value is in our company, he was blown away because it's much higher than normal - especially considering we don't sell high price tag products.
But guess what Friend, when I ran the same calculation on my personal business, it was DOUBLE the company number (which is already amazing).
Why is this?
Could be a combination of things, but I think a big one, is that I and our company have a culture of helping people and building relationships with them, both before and after they join.
I think this is playing a big role in helping us create the results we're creating.
Let me tell you something that you can take to the bank Friend.
A list of 100 people who know like and trust you, is INFINITELY more valuable than a list of 3,000 people who don't.
This is something that most people in the online space completely forget or intentionally ignore just to hype people up.
Just this morning I had sent someone on Facebook the link to our intro video and application process.
He responded with a request for me to call him and he gave me his phone number.
I immediately picked up the phone and called him.
He was literally blown away. He couldn't believe it.
We had a great chat and by the end of the call, he told me he's joining and excited to work with me.
Now I'm not saying you have to pick up the phone and call people.
There are other ways to apply 'high touch' in online communities and email lists.
What I am saying is that nothing converts and retains better than personal relationships and 1 on 1 engagement.
That's a fact.
And it's even backed by the most famous online marketer in the world, a guy they used to call 'The President of The Internet' Mr. Frank Kern.
He is an online traffic and conversion genius and I heard him say...
'Nothing converts better than a one on one interaction.'
So there you have it Friend.
The best conversion tactic in the world.
Love people.
Hope this helps on your journey forward to freedom and beyond.
All the best,
Paul
