Hey Friend,
On today's mastermind, Donna, one of our awesome contributors, shared a story that inspired me and cracked me up, all at the same time so I wanted to pass it along, here in this email.

Once upon a time...
A farmer's donkey fell into an abandoned well. Terrified, the animal cried for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.
Finally, he decided the animal was old and impossible to retrieve.
He realized the well needed to be filled to prevent future losses. So he invited all his neighbors to help him.
They all grabbed shovels and began to throw dirt into the well. At first, when the donkey realized he was being buried alive, he cried horribly.
Then, to everyone's shock, the donkey quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.
With each shovel of dirt that hit the donkey's back, the donkey would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer and his neighbors continued to throw dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take another step up.
Soon everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
Now here's the funny part Friend...
Before Donna shared this little gem, I had shared my story of struggle to success.
Later on, Mamma Elizabeth came out, and mentioned how my story had reminded her of the donkey.
At that point, the thought struck me..
"Did Mamma Elizabeth just call me an Enlightened Jackass"? 🤔
I laughed out load to myself as I realized that most humor usually has some truth to it.
Indeed, I do like to think of myself as 'Enlightened' in some ways like the donkey, but the truth is, I'm also incredibly limited in my knowledge when I compare it to all that there is to be known.
And maybe that's how we all are Friend.
We strive to learn more and be the best we can, and that's a good thing.
As we do that, we tend to see and experience better results in our lives and businesses, and this also, is a good thing.
Hopefully, as we're earning more income, creating more freedom, and having more positive impact on people...
We can always remember that there's still some 'Donkey' in us, and that helps to keep us humble, which also - seems to me - to be a good thing.
;-)
