Morning Friend,
I'm still here in Maui having the time of my life... (Literally!)
I can't even begin to describe how AMAZING this trip has been.
I plan to share more when I get back home, but for now, I'm trying to squeeze out some little nuggets here and there early in the AM before the rest of the crew wakes up for the day.
I wanted to share an important truth that seems to be a requirement for having long term success, building residual income from home...
This truth, for many, is an uncomfortable one, but if you want to win and win long term (and of course help others win along with you), it's one you must learn to get comfortable with.
Here it is...
You have to learn to be OK with struggle.
It’s normal to struggle when you're first getting started and sometimes that struggle lasts for years until all the pieces fall into place and it starts to click.
Pop Quiz: Would you be willing to invest a few years of 'struggle' if it meant you could eventually earn consistently more in a month than you used to earn in a year? (that's what happened for me and I can tell you it was worth all of that and more!)
Once it clicks for you, there will always be people around you that you’re striving to lift, who are still putting the puzzle together for themselves.
This is an individual and case by case type of thing with different and varying time frames.
You have to be ok with this and give people the space, time and grace to let it play out for them, just like it had to play out for you, over time.
Nowadays, when I look at struggle, I see it mostly as a good thing.
I remember my path and what I went through, and I’m happy for the people who are on a similar path.
Of course I help them as much as possible, while remembering that I can only do so much.
Maybe this is why inspiration is one of the highest level skills we can develop in this type of business.
Inspiring, and re inspiring - again and again - can have the effect of helping people to stay in the game long enough for the magic to unfold.
... and believe me when I tell you Friend, the magic can, and does, unfold. :-)
To our better futures,
Paul
