Hey Friend,
Happy Monday! Hope your week is off to a great start.
Just wanted to pass a little inspiring nugget your way.
My wife, Corene, and I have been reading the biography of John Adams together and so far, really enjoying it.
One of the most inspiring quotes yet, a favorite of both John Adams and George Washington is the following...
"We can not insure success, but we can deserve it."
This was a line they both used to inspire themselves and others, prior to and during the great American Revolution.
Somewhere near the beginning of my home business journey, I remember thinking to myself,
"If I give this everything I've got, reach the end of my life, and somehow, haven't achieved the success I set out to achieve...
I'll still be happy and thankful."
Why?
Because the journey itself has rewards worth obtaining, completely seperate from the financial aspects.
I wanted to live a life where I got to the end and could say to myself that I left it all on the field.
That I gave it everything I had.
That I lived my life in the way that I wanted to live it.
To me, the positive answers to those questions will have made it all worthwhile, reguardless of number of dollars in my bank account.
And that's the spirit at which I threw myself into building a life of freedom.
That's the spirit that made me want to work to deserve it, reguardless of whether I got it, or not.
So many people these days in home business, business in general and even society at large want a guarantee.
Well here's one guarantee you can take to the bank Friend.
You have everything inside you right now, to do all you need to do, to put yourself in a position where you can look yourself in the mirror at the end of each day and say...
"I deserve it because I did what was within my power to make that satisfaction in the reflection of the mirror, justified and earned."
That is 100% within all of our control and that is a guarantee we can work to fulfill, today, tomorrow and every single day until we leave this earth.
There's nothing like that feeling Friend.
No amount of money, or lack therof can buy it.
The feeling that comes from being able to honestly say,
"I did my best."
So the next time someone asks you "What are the income stats of your company, or how much of a guarantee they'll have if they decide to get started," maybe this quote that inspired an entire nation of freedom can come to mind...
"We cannot insure success, but we can deserve it."
All the best,
Paul
