Hey Friend,
I'm back! Wow, what a whirlwind of an event we had at Freedom Fest.
There is SOOOO much inside my heart, mind and soul that it feels a little overwhelming to even begin to try and put some of it into words for your reading, watching or listening pleasure.
But, of course, I will try!
One of the little nuggets for me, from the event, was to discover a new way to set 'financial' goals.
I notice that sometimes people struggle a bit with building a burning desire around money.
This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as...
Once you have enough, it can be hard to make yourself want more.
Some people are so connected on a heart level, that no matter what they do, they just can't get themselves to see people as dollar signs.
Sometimes people have negative associations with wealth.
Reguardless of the reason, the solution, it seems is to build a desire for something you do want, that's related to the money, but not the money.
For example: One thing my business partner and I realized at this event is that we absolutely LOVE being around certain types of people.
People who are positive, committed, growth minded, fun and who have giving hearts.
As we think about finding more people like that to attract to our community, we get excited.
Much more excited than seeing our bank account balance grow.
So, we can set this as a goal, be guided to the right activities and messages to attract these people and more money can be sidenote.
I guess the big point is - what kind of a vision for your future excites you?
If it's money, then fine - if it's not money, you must find something else that drives you forward.
On my journey to freedom, I used to think that once I got there, I'd live happily ever after.
My shocking realization is that to be happy in the rest of the 'ever after', I must have things I'm moving towards, people to help, and reasons for existing - other than what I want to buy or the places I want to see.
I think we're probably all like this.
Maybe some sort of divine power set life up this way to keep us continually moving and growing.
Happiness is, at least in part, learning to be thankful for where you're at, while continuing to pursue the next phase of what you want.
I know it's cliche, but life does all seem to be about the journey and not so much, the destination.
Anyway, this all has me thinking about how I can attract more of the right people to what we're building.
Thankfully, I have a good number of these people already in my circle, so I had a good place to begin thinking about how these people were attracted to me in the first place.
I made this video this morning, to share what I've learned, over the last 20 years of building business from home, on how to attract the right people.
