Hey Friend,
Yesterday I took my step dad Bob, out to lunch because it was his 79th birthday. YAY, happy birthday right?
Anyway, while we were eating he told me a crazy story.
When his brother Danny, transitioned from this life to the next, Bob's sons (my step brothers) all rallied together and put together a donation fund of $10,000 for his funeral because they loved their uncle.
A year after Danny's funeral, his wife (the one who took the $10K for the funeral) also transitioned.
When they showed up to the funeral home the director said.. "I'm not doing her funeral because she still hasn't paid us for Danny's."
When my step dad asked one of his boys how he felt about the fact that this lady had stolen the funeral money...
He tilted his head to the side, raised his eyebrows a little, lifted his hands - palms up, and shrugged his shoulders as if to say.. "oh well".
ha ha. This made my step dad and I both laugh.
It's funny because it's true though Friend, being angry with someone, anyone, is 'like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.'
The only person it hurts is you.
